Dental distress, holiday decor, and the internet provider from hell.

Now that COVID has left my home, I spent most of this week feeling impending doom due to some upcoming dental work.

Extractions and filling will start on the lower left quadrant of my mouth in a few days in preparation for upper and lower partials. As a result, I will have some noticeably missing teeth for the holidays.

What is the remedy for this problem? Bright red lipstick! I have chosen the red lipstick worn by the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes — Russian Red by MAC.

If you can’t disguise it, play it up!

This week, I spent an entire day decorating my sister’s big house in the even bigger woods. This served as a good lesson in time management.
Decorating for the holidays is a task that starts fun but ends up being slow and laborious.

A good rule of thumb: take whatever time you think it will take to decorate and double it. The doubled amount is likely a far more accurate estimate of how much time it will actually take to decorate for the holidays.

Be sure to pack a lunch or, at the very least, a charcuterie tray.
